Officially named Rick Carpenter Field, the Knights home field is the envy of Fort Bend ISD.

The field and support facilities on campus have been upgraded over the years thanks to the generous donations of money and time from families & alumni and the continued work from the coaching staff.

When Elkins opened, the field consisted of a simple chain link backstop and outfield fence, an open air two tunnel batting cage, and a very modest home bullpen area.

As of the 2015 season, our facility now consists of a brick & net backstop, a turf halo around home plate dirt, a custom foam injected plastic outfield wall, a four tunnel covered and lit batting cage with individual sock net hitting stations, a 5 rubber home bullpen, and a single mound visitor bullpen.  A concession stand was built in 2010 and a new 9 inning scoreboard was installed in 2014.

While another school may have a nicer batting cage or a more seating, Rick Carpenter Field is quite simply the best overall high school baseball facility in Fort Bend County.
